I am a self-taught photographer whose artistic practice evolved from a background in videography.

Based in my private studio, with music constantly playing in the background, I explore a diverse range of genres including still life, street photography, and landscapes.  With many of my projects, I approach this work with a focus on minimalism, often utilising natural and various small lights and scrims, as tools to manipulate light and shadow. This disciplined approach to lighting allows me to explore unusual concepts and technical challenges, seeking to reveal the inherent complexity within a single frame.

In the controlled environment of the studio, I prioritise low-light compositions and simple forms to create abstract and still life images. My creative process is characterised by experimentation and repeated trials, ensuring each final image meets a specific standard of conceptual clarity. Beyond the studio, I apply these techniques to the natural world, capturing the textures and lines of the Australian landscape. Whether documenting the intricate patterns of eucalyptus bark or the geometric patterns with the bush or landscape. My work invites the viewer to engage with the creative intricacies of the captured subject.
